You Are Still Being Lied To

Posted in Politics with tags , , , , , on March 11, 2009 by middleofmayhem

So I was invited to write an essay on the obesity epidemic in coordinance with the DVD release of my film “Killer at Large” on March 31st. The essay appears in compilation book called “You Are Still Being Lied To” with other essays the likes of Ron Paul, Noam Chomsky, and Howard Zinn. I wrote the piece with Elias Pate and Bryan Young. We each tackled a third of it. I wrote the final third.

You can read the whole essay here:

Also, you can order the whole book at your local Borders, Barnes and Noble, or here at Amazon:

“Radio Chips” to be put in driver’s licenses? RFID chip coming next?

So the new head of the Homeland Security is pushing for radio chips to be installed in driver’s licenses nationwide. Janet Napolitano, who used to be opposed to the chips while governor of Arizona, is suddenly down with the whole idea.

Enhanced driver’s licenses have built-in radio chips providing an identifying number or information that can be accessed by a remote reading unit while the license is inside a wallet or purse.

The technology already had been implemented in Washington state, where it is promoted as an alternative to a passport for traveling to Canada. So far, the program is optional.

But there are other agreements already approved with Michigan, Vermont, New York and Arizona, and plans are under way in other states, including Texas, she said.

Imagine, she said, going to a First Amendment-protected event, a church or a mosque, or even a gun show or a peace rally.

“What happens to all those people when a government operator carrying a reading device makes a circuit of the event?” she asked. “They could download all those unique ID numbers and link them.”

By the way, NO ONE in the media will cover this. It will sneak into the lives of every frightened, dumb-founded American. And we will not protest it. It’s coming….

Here’s a news report I put out today for the American News Project:

On a routine “broll shoot” for a news story, I was just filming wide shots of the Federal Reserve building in Washington DC. I was on the public sidewalk, no tripod, with a medium sized camera. I had filmed the White House, Treasury, Capitol Building, and National Academy of Sciences with no problem. 45 seconds into filming the shoot, Federal Reserve Police approached claiming I was breaking the More.. law. “But this is THE FEDERAL RESERVE, SIR.”

The Stimulus Plan and Why It Won’t Work

Posted in Politics with tags , , , , , , , on February 18, 2009 by middleofmayhem

The economy is in a recession. And if you’re learning about this for the first time here on this blog, then you’re part of the problem.

Granted, on the surface, Obama’s stimulus plan seems a rather progressive solution. And it’s obviously a better solution than “He We Won’t Speak Of” could have come up with. There is money dedicated to creating new jobs nationwide in renewable energy outlets and obviously the tax breaks/credits will put more money in people’s pockets, and thus back into the economy when they inevitably spend it on HDTVs or PS3s.
